Description

D&D:Joe's campaign.

Hiding out in the lower ruins of the dwarven caves was a young red dragon that was barely the size of a horse. At his disposal were orc and goblin minions. The party found themselves being enlisted for help by the dragon to rid it's layer from a dark druid and a mindflayer that had taken up hold there and ran him off. Forced to sleep in a cave now the dragon begs the party to help him and even offers up his small horde as payment. When the deed was easily done and the loot was settled the party moves on down the tunnels to their next destination. It was during this time that Kisharra, the gold dragon shaman, noticed something moved in her back pack. What ever it was must have climbed in while the party stopped to rest after clearing out the dragon's lair. Opening up her pack she found a very round head filled with teeth stare back up at her. Pulling it out by the scruff of the neck she stared at the 30 pound thing. It was like no goblin she had ever seen. A wide oval shaped head and very small, scrawny body it looked very strange. Upon questioning the little monster it whimpered it was hiding from the dragon as well as the orcs and other goblins. He was the runt and was often abused and neglected. Malnourished and covered in bruises the lawful good dragon shaman couldn't just throw him away. It stared up at her with sad, pleading eyes. "What is your name?" Kisharra asked and it stared blankly at her, "I dunno. Dah orcs call me 'ball' when dey toss and punt me around." That was it. She wasn't going to send him back. At the next town Kisharra cleaned him up and fed him. It was then she coined the nick name 'Gnar' for him while he gnawed on a chunk of meant happily.
